Hello! I am currently a masters student at Villanova University studying avian Behavioral Ecology, specifically social behavior and mate choice, in Dr. Robert Curry’s lab.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Dickinson College studying Neuroscience and Behavior in May 2015.
My career goal is to do work that benefits animal conservation through a better understanding of animal behavior, both in captivity and in the wild. I have spent time in an animal sanctuary/zoo setting as well as in a fieldwork setting (my current position), and although these approaches to understanding behavior are quite different, I love both avenues of work. I also really enjoy coding, although I still consider myself a novice in the coding world. I want to continue to learn statistics and graphic development in R throughout my masters degree and continuing into my career. I am passionate about science education and advocacy and aim to build a career that allows me to reach out and educate others about the importance of conservation and animal behavior study.
Please feel free to contact me about my interests or with any questions!
